The Rotary Club of Truro sponsored a one day Rotary Leadership Award (RYLA) day on April 13th. A total of 39 grade 10, 11 and 12 students from South Colchester Academy (SCA), Cobequid Education Center (CEC) and North Colchester High School attended the workshops, working together on leadership skills and finding out more about Rotary.
Some 14 of the students passed in personal portfolios and were interviewed by a team of Rotarians. The top two, Emma Toole and Veronica Hawkes were awarded with $500 bursaries to help with their post secondary education. Congratulations to all those attending.
