For the first time since 1997 the Rotary Club of Truro is hosting an international Exchange Student. Under the leadership of Joanna Christianson a club committee has been formed, host families found and an outbound student selected and sent off.
Our inbound student is Manuel Matín González from the town of Teguesta in Tenerife, the Canary Islands, Spain. Manuel was welcomed to the club at our regular meeting on August 19th. We found out that he loves the outdoors and plays many sports although he especially likes basketball and surfing. He has an older sister studying medicine and a twin brother still at home.
Rotarians were encouraged to get to know Manuel and show him the pleasures of living in the Truro area.
