The Start:  President Laurie led the Club in singing O Canada and the Reverend Dave MacNaughton said Grace.
 
Chair Introduction: Chair Laurie was born in PEI and graduated from UPEI. She was once named Queen of the Furrow at a plowing match.. Laurie has worked for the Agriculture Department for 25 years and her workplace is at the Perennia Innovation Centre on Pictou Road.
 
She and her husband Mike operate a farm in Lower Truro, and they have four sons. (Nova Scotia needs more such families.)
 
Attendance: 52%
 
Fun Fines: Everyone paid today because at some past meeting some person, probably of Scottish descent, contributed only 25 cents to the collection basket.
 
Happy Mug: Brian, Kevin, Ron, Ted and Barbara were happy Rotarians.
 
50/50 Draw: Mark Mason retrieved his own ticket from the basket, and despite his fervent request that he  draw again was obliged to try his luck. The wily Joker kindly saved him from further embarrassment by evading his grasp. 
 
Visitors and Guests: None
 
Member Health: The sad loss of Riley Marshall was announced before beginning of the meeting, and Reverend MacNaughton said the funeral would most likely be on Wednesday.
 
Secretary’s Report: No report
 
Committee Reports: Dave Mills announced that the club would begin solicitation for the Yearbook soon.
