Club Donates to Maggies Place Move

The Rotary Club of Truro has donated $10,000 to the Maggies Move Campaign.

The club has had a long history of supporting Maggies place and are very supportive of the new facility that will allow them to provide better community service.

Maggies Place Executive Director Linda Legere accepts a cheque for $10,000 from Club Community Chair Dave Mills. The funds will go toward letting the familay resource centre get started on renovations to their new home on East Prince Street in Truro.

The "It Takes a Village to Move Maffie's Place" campaign is looking for community support to raise the estimated $100,000 needed to buy materials and hire the professionals to make the renovaitons. For more details check out http://maggiesplace.ca/move
