A team of Rotarians welcomed the 2009 to give the 'New to You' shop at Rotary House a fresh coat of paint.  Stormy weather didn't slow these Rotarians down!  Part of the Rotary Club of Truro's commitment to Rotary House is an ongoing 'provision of labor for non technical tasks'
December, 2002, the Rotary Club of Truro announced that they would partner with the Colchester Community Workshop Foundation as their Centennial Community Project to observe the 100th year anniversary of Rotary International

After much deliberation, it was decided to attempt to contribute $100,000 over a five year period, $20,000 a year. The Rotary Advertising Yearbook was begun and successfully funded the project. Rotarians have given hours in planning, building and continuing to foster this dynamic facility that resonates with vitality, providing self esteem, purpose and belonging daily for some 60 challenged adults.

This project has challenged the club to new heights of fund raising, community involvement and increased awareness of mentally and physically challenged. Rotary House has clearly provided a solution to a community need, allowing active participation of Rotarians from many angles: the initial committee formed to steer the project, participation on the Board, accounting and legal assistance and in help in management to name a few.
