The Rotary Club of Truro has made a contribution to the successful Truro Police Service "Cyber" Anti-Bullying program. The $3,000 donation was accepted by Const. Todd Taylor and Const. Jon Keddy (right in picture) and will go toward promoting the Truro Police Service’s Cyber program which educates young people about the dangers of cyberbullying and promotes internet safety. Judy Nicholson presented the cheque on behalf of the Club.
The Cyber program was Const. Jon Keddy's idea. As a school resource
officer and member of the force's community enhancement division,
he saw the need for more education, given the amount of time students
were spending online.
