The team of four was welcomed PEI Ferry terminal and taken to the Best Western where they choose their favorite meal, fish, for supper! They were delighted to find rice was possible with the meal.
Friday was a full day with the tour of Rotary House beginning at 9:15. We were able to visit the production, sorting, New to You Shop and Café with the clients welcoming our visitors! Then, on to the NSAC for a walk through the rock garden (rated as the most enjoyable part of the day by Maki). The tour of the Aquaculture facility proved to be most interesting to the group.
Lunch at the Palliser (Fish Chowder was the choice) followed by a tour of
A barbeque featuring planked salmon and a corn boil followed by a bon fire was a relaxing social time for all at the home of Mark and Christine Mason.
The Team chose for Saturday a visit to the Jost Winery in Malagash. On Saturday evening,
each member of the team presented their work, family, area and points of interest for a group of 40 Rotarians. English is difficult but they did well. Along with the commentary, a visual 'Taste of Japan' whet our appetites for travel.
The team enjoyed our Saturday evening "banquet", courtesy of Kentucky Fried Chicken, as well as seeing our Rotary Auction being made ready for the big event.
