Members of the Rotary Club of Truro helped long time Rotarian Lorne MacDougall celebrate his 94th Birthday at their regular meeting on January 9th.  He blew out the candles on his cake and expressed thanks to the club members for recognizing his birthday.

Born on January 12, 1918, Lorne joined the Rotary Club as a young lawyer April 2, 1945. He was president of the Rotary Club of Truro in 1950-51 when he hosted a visit of RI president, Arthur Lagueux, the first on only two visits by RI presidents  to Truro.

After almost 67 years as a Rotarian, Lorne still attends nearly every regular meeting of the club and is a great supporter of all Club initiatives.

The 1947 photo of the members of the Rotary Club of Truro shows Lorne (back row 4th from the left) when he was Secretary of the Club.
