As part of RI President Riseley's tree challenge, each club around the world was tasked with planting one tree per member this year. We are pleased to be partnering with the local Scouts Canada troops to plant trees at the old Truro dump. A big Thank You! to Audrie-Jo for arranging this activity! Details are: Date: Saturday, May 5 Time: 9:00-11:00am Park and walk in past the gate and leaf pile. Make sure to wear boots as it can be soggy! The Department of Natural Resources are donating the trees and they have set aside 2,000 trees for us so we’ll have plenty to do! For those with bad backs we can always pair up with little beavers so they do all the bending. I look forward to seeing lots of Rotarians there! Alana |
