The Rotary Club of Truro has a number of projects supported by it's fund raiseing activities such as the auction and the advertising yearbook. Some will last only a year or two, others will be run for decades.  The following is a list of the current active projects.

Camp Tidnish.
We sponsor registration fees for approximately 25 mentally and physically challenged young people from our area to attend this summer camp in Cumberland County.  The Camp is owned by the Rotary Club Of Amherst and operated by the Nova Scotia Abilities Foundation.  Additionally, we financially assist improvements in the Camp facilities.

Medical Assistance.
We provide thousands of dollars financial assistance for specialized medical treatment or travel costs (not covered by MSI or private insurance) to local residents who are in need.

Colchester Community Workshops(Rotary House).
We provide financial assistance and hands on support towards operating expenses for the clients of this local workshop as well as participation on the foundation and management boards.   www.nsnet.org/ccwf

Archway Place. Helping young people who may need additional training and support as they navigate through some of life's challenges. This is a new project that we assisted with this year www.archwayplace.ca

Educational Bursaries.
  Three $1,500 and two $500
bursaries are awarded to local grade 12 students (in financial need) to continue their education.  The Club recently established a $1000 bursary to International Students at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.

Northwood In Touch.
We provide these personal alarms to local seniors in need, so that they may summon emergency assistance from their home.

Youth Leadership Conference.
We sponsor and organize an annual one-day seminar on leadership, for high school students from the Colchester and East Hants area.

Adopt A Highway. Our Adopt a Highway committee mobilizes club members to conduct an annual spring clean-up of the Robie Street / Highway 102 interchange extending from the Irving station to Kent Road. We collect 60 to 80 bags of trash each outing working closely with a crew from the Department of Transportation. This is a great "hands-on" project with lots of comraderie and sense of (green/community) accomplishment.
