The Rotary Club of Truro received three awards at the District Conference held on PEI in late May. 

The Club has planned and worked very hard for these awards and the recognition by District and  Rotary International is well deserved. 

The awards were presented to President Jim Goit and Past President Ken MacLean by District Assistant Governor, Wayne Gillis.
The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International presented the Club with an appreciation award for Financial support given to the Foundation in support of the Polio Plus.  This award was for the 2010-2011 Rotary Year.

The Change Maker Award was new this year. The Changemaker Award recognizes Rotary clubs that make an extraordinary impact during 2011-12 through their work in the Avenues of Service. The Club met goals established at the start of the for making positive and significant change in our communities and in the world.

The Presidential Citation recognizes achievements related to membership development and contributing to The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Club of Truro met or exceeded all the required categories including 100% member contribution and $100 per member average contribution fo the Foundation.  The Club also met membership development requirements.
