Rotarian Keith Gillis, owner of G&G computers, recently helped the WUSC committte at NSAC get laptop computers for two refugee students.
World University Services of Canada (WUSC) is a network of
individuals and post secondary institutions who believe that all peoples
are entitled to the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to a
more equitable world. Their mission is to foster human development and
global understanding through education and training. The WUSC's Student
Refugee Program(SRP)creates new futures in Canada for refugee students
from the developing world and enhances the learning experience of the
Canadian students who sponsor them. This program supports students
fleeing war or persecution in developing countries to continue their
studies in Canada. For more information you may contact the local
committee at wuscnsac@gmail.com or WUSC head office at www.wusc.ca
