The Start:  Ed MacDonald led the Club in singing O Canada and the Rotary Grace.

 Chair Introduction: Adam Wyllie has been a Rotarian for nigh on five years. He and his wife, Christina, have two daughters, Kate who is five and Claire who is 2.

Fun Fines: Al, The Impaler, collected tribute from all those who had not responded to his recent order to serve on a Club committee,

 Happy Mug: Richard, Ron, Kevin, and Paul were happy Rotarians.

 50/50 Draw: Paul, the Jeweller, acquired the winning ticket but the wily Joker thought that he is rich enough already.

 Committee Reports: Christine Blair invited members to a Friday night social at 5 pm, at the Glengarry. It is a make-up opportunity and chance to meet GSE participants.

Next Week’s Program:  The next Club meeting will be on 27 May when Jim Goit will be the Chair and the speaker will be Linda Legere of Maggie’s Place.

 President’s Report:

 Laurie read a letter from Boys and Girls Club.

The club received a thank you note from Nicole Maxwell, the Adventures in Citizenship delegate "My trip was probably the most motivational week of my life and I am so excited to come and thank you all".

The Club gave $500 gas gift cards to citizens having to make numerous trips to Halifax for medical appointments.

The Club gave a $7000 donation to Rotary House for special projects.

The Club gave a $1000 donation to MADD for Colchester County school presentations.

The Directors accepted the resignation of Arnold Hagen and Ryan Johnstone. Two former members were approved - Barbara Goit and Sharon Crowe.

Maggie's Place, a family resource centre in Truro, is moving to a larger facility and requested assistance with renovation costs. The Club will give $10,000.

The Directors agreed to offer $2900 to Colchester East Hants Library for the purchase of IT devices such as i-pads and other tablets. Library staff will receive training first and in turn, they pass the information to library users.

Mike Michaud's committee is reviewing bursary applications. Five high school bursaries are awarded totalling $4500.

Jim Goit and Jim Gould will be attending the upcoming District Conference in Halifax. They are designated voting members at the AGM.
