Karen Boyd is newest Member of the Rotary Club of Truro

Immediate past president Laurie Sandeson was on duty today to induct Karen Boyd as a new member of the Rotary Club of Truro. Vice President Jim Gould is Karen's sponsor.

Karen graduated from the University of California at Davis with a bachelors degree in environmental design. She's worked in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay area as well as Montana. She moved to Nova Scotia from Montana in 2012 when she married Al. Both Karen and Al's backgrounds include commercial interior design thus began Boyd & Boyd Design & Construction Ltd. Karen appreciates being a part of the creative process and coming up with solutions to meet interior environmental needs.

Growing up in Alaska, Karen feels quite at home in Nova Scotia. "The healthy lifestyle that Nova Scotia has to offer is a perfect place to be with our new family." Karen and Al have two young boys and enjoy living, and playing, outside in the woods and at the beach.
