Opening/Chair: Chair Sharon opened the meeting with O Canada led bu ed

Happy Mug: There were several happy Rotarians today.

Joanna was happy about a dead seal that had been disposed of.
Brian Matthews about parent's 66th wedding anniversary.
Kevin Quinlan about year end and NL vacation.
Al Begin wine tour in BC
Judy Nicholson for family visits.
Jim Goit for year end as DG

Attendance: 65%

Fun Fines: Al fined everyone because there was no fine last week.

Visitors/Guests: Gord Woodburn from the Sackville NB club was a visiting Rotarian.

50/50: Chester MacPhees had the right number but missed the joker and the pot builds.

Member Health: no report

Committee Reports: Ken MacLean for horse racing volunteers. Will send out new email. Still looking for volunteers. The exposure will be wonderful. Will be a great month to be a Rotarian. Watch for new message from Ken.

Larry Beazley about yearbook - Working on getting it done. Collections done. Kirk has 103 ready to do. Try to clean it up. Make sure to click off everyone's name.

New Board of Directors Installed

The new Executive and Board of the Rotary Club of Truro was installed today at the Semi Annual Meeting of the Club. Ted Jordan was confirmed as President, Alana Hirtle as Vice President and Ryan Beazley as Secretary.

The new board was challenged by incoming President Ted to Not be Afraid to Fail but rather Be Afraid to Not Have Tried. Congratulations to all.

Outgoing President Dr. Kevin Quinlan is presented with the Rotary Gavel by Incoming President Ted Jordan as a think you for his term as Club President for 2015-16.

Club is Recognized by Province

The Rotary Club of Truro received special recognition from the Government of Nova Scotia through local MLA Lenore Zann for its project to improve schools in the Cameroon. Project author Lydia Sorflaten accepted the award from President Elect Ted Jordan. Congratulations to all.
