Speaker: Jo Ann Fewer, CEO of Perenna was introduced by Alana and proceeded to give a brief history and summary of the programs of Perennia.
Launched in its current form in 2012, Perennia is a fully integrated agriculture, food and bio-resource company. It works with producers and processors to offer new perspectives on growing, value-adding, incubating and innovating.
Perennia helps address production issues on farm, create internationally recognized quality and food safety programs, lease incubation space for new product development and conduct research to transform underutilized land- and marine-based bioresources into high-value products like nutraceuticals, functional ingredients and non-food based bioproducts.
Jo Ann and Margo gave examples of the companies that Perennia had helped over the last several year. There is currently space for new tenants and she encouraged members of the club to refer people to Perennia.
Plans for future development of the company and the site in Bible Hill were presented and an invitation to come to see the facility was extended to the club.
Jo Ann and Margo were thanked by Jim Gould.
