Health Updates: Kathy VonKinzel starting treatment for liver cancer today.
 
Club Notices: Meeting of the Yearbook committee will be 5:30, Feb 29 @ NSCC
 
Program:
Bethel Trust Committee - Al Bégin, Rod Jones, Adam Wyllie, Christine Blair (and previously Wayne Gillis)
Al, Marylin and Adam presented the recommendations that have been to the board. The committee members shared information about the process and each of the individual recommendations. The recommendations are confidential at this point as they have not yet been approved.
 
Following the presentation many Rotarians took an opportunity to thank the committee for their work and diligence with this important club matter.
 
Any Rotarians who would like to request additional information or express any concerns regarding the committee's recommendations are encouraged to contact any of the directors.

Stu Rath Winner of 2016 Community Service Award
Stuart (Stu) Rath is the recipient of the 2016 Rotary Club of Truro Community Service Award.
 
The award is presented annually to a deserving citizen, who has provided outstanding service though volunteer work or financial support to organizations and / or families in need in our community.
 
Considered to be one of the most successful business people and community supporters in Colchester County, Stu is also quietly service the  community he lives in.

Mark Mason named Truro Rotarian of the Year
Each year the Rotary Club of Truro names a Club member Rotarian of the Year. The award is presented to a deserving and active member of the Rotary Club of Truro who has provided outstanding service to the Club and to Rotary during the last year.
 
This year's winner is Rotarian Mark Mason. 
 
Mark was recognized for his work with the International and Youth service areas but in particular for his leadership this past fall in incorporating the Christmas Index into to Program of the Rotary Club of Truro.

The Avenues of Service Award goes to Dave Mills
The Rotary International Avenues of Service Citation recognizes that the strength of the Rotary movement is founded on the service carried out by individual club members. This citation provides a means for Rotary clubs to recognize club members for his/her outstanding efforts in the Five Avenues of Service.
 
Rotarian Dave Mills is the choice of the Rotary Club of Truro to receive this prestigious award in 2015-16.
 
A member of the Rotary Club of Truro since 2000,Dave has been active in all Avenues of Rotary Service but is best known for his strong Community Service focus.  A member of the board of directors 10 of the past 16 years, Dave has lead many visible community initiatives such as the Yearbook fundraiser.  At the same time he has managed the less visible programs such as providing directly for the needs of individuals, families and groups in the community. Read the full citation on the Club Website on the Recognition page.
