Tom moved back to Nova Scotia six years ago to make Truro  his home. He has worked for CIBC for 21 years in various roles in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, returning to Truro, as Manager of Commercial Banking and Agriculture.   He and is partner Alison have bought a farm house to renovate in Beaver Brook which he says has been both fun and frustrating at times.

Tom has two grown children, Rachel, who is studying for her doctorate of Animal Science at the University of Saskatchewan, and son Nathan, who is working in Moncton.  Alison has three children, Daniel who is travelling the world, Claire, attending CEC in Truro, and Samuel who attends CCJH. Samuel is a Gymnast with the Truro Spartans.   Welcome Tom and Alison!

Successful District Conference

An incredibly successful District Conference was held on the weekend of May 12-15.  Approximately 258 Rotarians and friends from all over the District were in attendance and feedback has been that the conference was second to none.  The program was informative and inspirational and the entertainment was "OFF THE HOOK".  A summary of the evaluation survey is found on the District Website.  Read the comments at the end.

Congratulations to the host team and especially to Co-chairs Laurie Sandeson and Brian Matthews who received the District Governor's Citation from DG Jim for Outstanding Service to the District.
