Committee Reports and Notices:
President Ted gave advance notice that the Dec 12th club meeting would be at the site of this year's Christmas Index at the Truro Mall. Details would be forthcoming but he hoped that there would be a large turnout for that meeting to see how the program worked.
Joanna reminded members that the Nov 1st Director's meeting would be at her home, 15 Coburg Crescent at 7:00pm. All Welcome.
Speaker: DG Elva was introduced by Rotarian Ryan. She outlined some the priorities of Rotary International and District and then told the story of how three programs of Rotary International (Youth Exchange, Friendship Exchange and Foundation grants) had intersected to change the course of her retirement.
The Rotary 2016-17 Theme Banner, Rotary Serving Humanity, was presented to President Ted Jordan by DG Elva Heyge at the Oct 31, 2016 meeting of the club.
A recording of DG Elva's presentation to the club can be found on the Club's Facebook page.
